Giving a graphical identity to the people whose job roles form a key part of this metal recycler's workforce and success

During the build of a new training system, EMR's Learning & Development Department asked me to design a set of badges to represent the company's key employees at its scrap yards, to give them an identity and something to reward them with on completion of training in various roles.
After agreeing with the proposed role types, I was given a list and free rein on how to design and present them, so I devised a ruleset to complete the project with a harmonious and balanced family feel through colour, shape and size.
